Mississippi Attorney General Lynn Fitch says she will push forward with a legal fight against the Biden Administration and Title IX. Title IX was established in 1972 to protect women from discrimination. The Biden administration announced that in August the rules will expand to prohibit discrimination based on sexual orientation. Critics claim that further opens a legal door for transgender crossover in sports. Attorney General Lynn Fitch says that rule could potentially be a game changer for women. “To protect women, our women to protect our girls as we move forward it’s not right for this administration to reach in and take funding away. This year we are very grateful our legislature passed the Safer Act to provide safe spaces to protect our women, girls’ locker rooms bathrooms, but also to determine the definition of biological woman biological man…Again this is significant as we protect these women and girls, ” Fitch said. Fitch joined the Title IX Lawsuit filed by the Attorney’s General from Louisiana, Montana and Idaho. It’s expected to come before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
