Jennifer Lopez gave her 54th birthday party the e-blast treatment, sending out a special edition of her On the JLo newsletter to her followers to detail her festivities.
Lopez included intimate photos and videos of her pool party, including shots of her and her husband of one year, Ben Affleck, being affectionate together. Affleck doesn’t often appear on Lopez’s Instagram, so her decision to post multiple photos of them on her newsletter is notable.
In other photos, Lopez looks amazing in a black print bikini with giant gold hoop earrings. Sure, it’s a personal birthday party album, but it could very well be a fashion editorial given how picturesque and fashion-forward everything is:
Lopez was nothing but grateful in her email, thanking her fans for all the kindness she received as she rang in another year.
“Thank you all for the birthday love,” she wrote. “Here’s a lil peek into my party. Ben hosted it at our new house with our closest family and friends. All the kids were there, it was a gorgeous day full of sunshine and perfect for a pool party!! I felt so appreciated and acknowledged by my loved ones, and I’m extremely grateful to be where I am today at this point in my life’s journey with so many beautiful, caring people to share it all with. Wishing you all the same love and happiness on your birthday and always!!!”
In a sassier display of her personality, Lopez also threw in a video of herself dancing on the table. She gave a nod to her alcoholic spritz brand Delola, writing, “Birthday mood… all month!! It’s always a good day when Lola comes to play…”
