The Jackson Police Department is asking the public for help in identifying a suspect in connection with a recent homicide.Police said the deadly shooting happened Friday, April 12, on Clinton Avenue near Fryant Avenue.Officers said when they arrived on scene, they found 35-year-old Cortez Travone Keith shot to death near Pecan Park Elementary School. In surveillance video released by Jackson Police, the victim, Keith, was seen wearing a white item on his head while walking on Clinton Avenue prior to the homicide.Anyone with information about this homicide is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS or the Jackson Police Department at 601-960-1234.
