WASHINGTON COMMANDER, ALL SEC SHAUN ROLLINS AND OTHERS. JIMOTHY LEAVES MRA AS A TWO-TIME STATE CHAMPION. A NUMBER OF NBA G- LEAGUE SCOUTS WERE IN JACKSON THIS WEEK- CHECKING OUT THE TALENT FROM THE METRO AND AROUND THE COUNTRY AT THE JACKSON SUMMER LEAGUE. REPRESENTATIVES FROM THE LAKELAND MAGIC, DELAWARE BLUE GOATS AND SIOUX FALLS WERE IN ATTENDANCE. AS WELL AS THE HARLEM GLOBETROTTERS. MISSISSIPPI COLLEGE PRODUCT ANTONIO COWART EARNED MVP HONORS FOR THE SUMMER LEAGUE, PRINCE MOSS OUT OF GRAMBLING STATE, LENELL HENRY FROM ALCORN STATE AND PLAYERS FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF HOUSTON AND MANHATTAN COLLEGE ALL PERFORMED AND COMPETE DURING THE TWO-DAY SUMMER LEAGUE

The Jackson Summer League wrapped up it’s 7th summer and second straight at Tougaloo College with a number of G-League scouts in attendance. Some of the top seniors from the SWAC, Southeastern Region and even New York came to Tougaloo to display their talents in hopes of landing an opportunity at starting their pro careers. Mississippi College product Antonio Cowart earned MVP honors.
