The Latinx Theatre Commons presents a virtual book launch party for Latinx Shakespeares: Staging US Intracultural Theater (University of Michigan Press, January 2023) and the launch of LatinxShakespeares.org livestreaming on the global, commons-based, peer-produced HowlRound TV network on Wednesday 8 March at 4 p.m. PST (San Francisco, UTC -4) / 6 p.m. CST (Chicago, UTC -6) / 7 p.m. EST (New York, UTC -5).

This monograph explores how Latinx culture is constructed dramaturgically and textually in Shakespearean adaptations and productions.

Della Gatta’s work has been supported by two fellowships from the Folger Shakespeare Library and the Citizens and Scholars Career Enhancement Fellowship. Della Gatta was awarded the J. Leeds Barroll Dissertation Prize in 2016 from the Shakespeare Association of America for her work on Shakespeare and Latinidad.

LatinxShakespeares.org is an online living theatre archive of Latinx adaptation. Della Gatta built the site and is managing it as editor. The archive holds information on over 275 plays and productions, including ephemera and resources. The site has reviews from over 20 contributors and growing.

Shakespeare and Latinidad (2021)
This edition, co-edited with Trevor Boffone, includes essays and interviews from twenty-five playwrights, actors, scholars, dramaturgs, and directors who work at the intersection of Shakespearean and Latinx theatrical production.
