Carlotta Taylor is not just a survivor of child abuse who endured 26 multiple home placements and attempting suicide at age 12, but has developed into a champion, overcoming all odds, who no longer flinches at adversity but overcomes with authority. With that authority coupled with her passion, she continues to empower others in knowing that they too can overcome.
Carlotta has committed her life to walking in her purpose of being an inspiration and light to the world to change the stigma attached to foster youth placed in multiple foster care homes.
Ms. Taylor has piece by piece – faced her biggest adversary, the brokenness. And not only healed herself but continues to reach thousands through her outreach and influence.
Carlotta’s relentless drive, focus and attention to detail is what helped propel her from detective to federal police officer; in various investigative units such as child protection, robbery homicide, back grounds including a federal police officer. In addition to her 15 years of law enforcement experience Ms. Taylor is also a veteran who served 8 years as a reservist in the United States Military.
Carlotta is the author of the best-selling book, “No More Flinching,” and a certified speaker, trainer and coach. Ms. Taylor is the creator and host of the powerful show, “The Heart of the Matter” where she interviews influencers to make a difference worldwide. She holds a bachelors in Social Services, a Masters in Science and Leadership from Belhaven University and is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Carlotta is the founder of the 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, Somebody Step In that offers foster youth and aged out foster youth, mentorship and more.
