Man hospitalized after possible road rage shooting in Jackson

HE WAS RESPONSIVE WHEN HE WAS TRANSPORTED TO UMMC AT THE SCENE. I SPOKE TO RESIDENTS WITH REACTION ON THE ONGOING UPTICK IN CRIME. IF YOU LOOK CLOSELY, BULLET HOLES ON THE DRIVERS SIDE AND WHAT APPEARS TO BE BLOOD… POLICE TELL US A GRAY MERCEDES PULLED NEXT TO A WHITE NISSAN ALTIMA DRIVEN BY TERRANCE BROWN WHEN THEY STARTED FIRING SEVERAL SHOTS, STRIKING HIM. WE SPOKE TO RESIDENTS WITH REACTION TO ANOTHER SHOOTING IN THE CAPITAL CITY, THIS TIME, ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY. Jackson police are investigating what they believe is a road rage shooting.Police confirmed the shooting happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 55 near the Pearl Street exit.According to Assistant Chief Joseph Wade, Terrence Brown was driving a white Nissan Altima when someone in a grey Mercedes shot into his vehicle.Wade said Brown was responsive when he was transported to the hospital by AMR. At last check, Brown was stable and was being treated for what authorities said were non-life-threatening injuries.Police currently have no suspect in this shooting.

Jackson police are investigating what they believe is a road rage shooting.

Police confirmed the shooting happened around 4 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 55 near the Pearl Street exit.
