A man who fathered a child with a 16-year-old girl was convicted of sexual battery of a minor.Thursday’s guilty verdict for Donald Quinn, 49, was the result of a three-day trial, according to Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens.Prosecutors said Quinn, who was in a position of “trust or authority” had sex with the teenager in January 2016. The girl became pregnant and DNA results proved Quinn was the father of the child, Owens said in a news release.Quinn faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison when he is sentenced on July 21. He will also be required to register as a sex offender.
