On today’s MUSIC IS THERAPY SHOW, we discuss 420… events that are held around the US protesting the criminalization of the use of cannabis and the legalization of the use of cannabis for medicinal and recreational purposes. Music and Marijuana have an obvious connection for most of us as a cultural thing. The legalization of medical marijuana and other cannabis uses like CBD oils, gummies and the like have been a good thing in my opinion. For the most part, it’s been positive on the recreational u use side, though there are still negatives about the use of cannabis that we should be aware of, especially when it comes to development of the brain.
Studies show there are some negative effects on the developing brain and neurological effects we shouldn’t ignore… especially in young people as well as during fetal development. Though there are many good things about cannabis, we should be aware of how it can affect our mind, behavior and neurological effects like memory loss, psychosis, etc.
So before you take that hit or eat that gummy… a little knowledge might go a long way in making sure you don’t have a bad experience!
