Little Tokyo moving into old Barrelhouse space

A new restaurant is setting up shop in Fondren.Little Tokyo Japanese restaurant is moving into the old Barrelhouse location on North State Street. Steven Huang, the owner of Little Tokyo, said right now, the plan is to open this summer. Huang said there’s another Little Tokyo location on County Line Road, and this one will be the second in the metro.”They don’t have a sushi restaurant in this area, any Asian restaurants, so it’s a pretty good opportunity for me to open an Asian restaurant in the Fondren area,” Huang said. “It’s a perfect location because they’ve got a lot of history right here.”Barrelhouse closed in January.
