Out of everyone in the Titans, Raven’s father, Trigon, fears one hero more than anyone else: the former Wonder Girl, Donna Troy. Trigon has been manipulating things behind the scenes, and he’s not worried about any of the Titans getting in his way — except for Donna. Despite his power, Wonder Girl has one trait that makes her too much for the demon to handle.
In Titans #9 by Tom Taylor and Lucas Meyer, Trigon continues to control Raven for his own uses, making her into the Dark-Winged Queen: a possessed version of the normally heroic character. When controlling Raven, Trigon has no problems with bragging to her about how unstoppable he is. After all, he’s already meddled with Dick Grayson’s mind in order to control the situation.
However, he does cede that Donna Troy poses a major threat to his secret plans. On one hand, she may be the key to the Titans stopping Trigon and saving Raven; on the other hand, Donna’s life may be in more danger than any of her teammates.

Trigon knows he doesn’t stand a chance against Donna’s willpower. Trigon’s strongest skillset is in manipulation, but he’ll never be able to truly manipulate Donna. In fact, Trigon had Raven alter Beast Boy’s mind, yet without even trying, he knows he wouldn’t be able to exert the same control over the first Wonder Girl. Nevertheless, her willpower doesn’t prevent her from Trigon manipulating her without using his powers. But if he continues to focus solely on keeping Donna in line, the other Titans may figure out what’s going on with Raven without his constant interference.

Having a powerful demon fear only her in a group of superheroes is impressive; however, that means that Trigon is more likely to try to kill Donna than the other Titans. Trigon has proved how far he’s willing to go when Hermes tries to warn Donna in this issue. She may have more willpower than a Green Lantern, but willpower won’t help if Trigon kills her. Plus, with Trigon controlling Raven, Donna may be too trusting of her friend and teammate for her own good. So far, there’s no evidence of a way to break the connection between Raven and Trigon.

Not only is Wonder Girl’s life on the line, but it’s up to the Titans to save the world again. If the gods are aware of Trigon’s plans, they may try to warn Donna again. Though it may be too late: the situation has escalated in Titans #9 with Trigon exposing himself to the one person he fears the most. Since the demon is voluntarily revealing his involvement, he clearly has a plan. Whatever Trigon’s plan is, Donna Troy and the Titans need to find a way to stop it before Trigon considers the former Wonder Girl too much of a threat.
