Sandile likes to submerge itself beneath the sand to stay cool, which can be troublesome for Trainers searching for this Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet.

If players are looking to craft TMs like Scary Face or Mud Shot in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they will need a resource known as Sandile Claws, which evidently comes from the members of the Sandile Family. Sandile is a small Ground- and Dark-type Desert Croc Pokémon that prefer the sweltering climate of the sandy wastelands in the Asado Desert. For newcomers, this desert is a biome within the West Province, located north of Area One and west of Cascarrafa. Trainers will likely pass through this desert during their journey to Porto Marinada, a coastal town by the western shores of the Paldean Sea.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY

After players arrive in the Asado Desert in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, they must travel to the western side of the wastelands to find Sandile. Its Pokédex description reads, “They live under hot desert sands in order to keep their body temperature from dropping.” In other words, Sandile seldom walks about the desert during the heat of the day but instead opts to submerge itself in the sand to keep cool. This characteristic can make the Sandile’s body hard to see, but the dirt cloud created from its sand-swimming movements is very visible.

Catching & Evolving Sandile in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

Sandile Wild Encounter and Habitat Location in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet

According to the Youtube channel Gamer Guides, the level of a Wild Sandile is typically within the range of the lower twenties, meaning they should not give Trainers much trouble in combat in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Nevertheless, if players need to weaken this pocket monster for an improved capture rate, using Water-, Grass-, Ice-, Fighting-, Bug-, and Fairy-type Moves will be Super Effective. Additionally, as mentioned above, catching Sandile or causing one to faint can yield Sandile Claws. According to Game8, these TM crafting resources in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are used in making TM006 Scary Face, TM035 Mud Shot, TM044 Dragon Tail, and TM062 Foul Play.

To evolve Sandile into Krokorok and Krookodile in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, players must reach specific level milestones to progress the evolutions. First, Sandile evolves into Krokorok once it has attained Level 29. Furthermore, the Ground- and Dark-type Desert Croc Pokémon becomes Krookodile after Krokorok has reached Level 40. Krookodile does not have any notable IVs superior to other pocket monsters, but its stats are well-balanced. As a result, This evolution serves as a decent aggressive combatant thanks to its solid Attack and Speed. Bear in mind that there is no way to catch a Wild Krookodile, as it only can be obtained from Krokorok’s evolution in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.
