Fans are wondering why the newest RHOBH star Diana Jenkins joined the cast. Many believe it’s to clear the rumors surrounding her book, Room 23.

Diana Jenkins made her debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 12, and fans are questioning why she joined the cast. The newest RHOBH star is by far the wealthiest housewife on the franchise, with a net worth of $300 million. After growing up in war-torn Bosnia, Diana fled to Croatia during the war, and a year later, she moved to London, where she eventually met her first husband, financier Roger Jenkins. Diana and Roger divorced after ten years of marriage, and she became independently wealthy when she received $150 million in the settlement.

Since the divorce, Diana has been keeping busy with her multiple companies and charity work. The entrepreneur launched her lifestyle beverage company, Neuro Brands, in 2009 and co-founded D Empire Entertainment with her fiancé Asher Monroe. Diana has also created Room 23, a coffee table book, featuring intimate photographs of celebrities such as George Clooney and Cindy Crawford. Room 23 became controversial when rumors swirled that the book was actually a list of high-end prostitutes for wealthy clients, with Diana as the madame.

In a recent RHOBH episode, Room 23 was brought up, but Diana quickly shut the conversation down. Viewers believed Diana was uncomfortable talking about the book due to the negative rumors surrounding it. Some fans believe Diana joined RHOBH in order to save her reputation. Reddit user acrumb11 asked, “Does anyone actually believe Diana? Not trying to argue, just actually confused because nothing she is saying makes sense or adds up at all.” Others questioned why Diana joined the show when she doesn’t need the money. The original Redditor asked, “Is she that rich if she’s on the show? That’s my question.” New-Ferret5920 then answered, “Fame and/or [to] try and clear her name of her book scandal. Same reason Kathy Hilton joined.”

Diana’s presence on RHOBH is very polarizing. She spoke about her difficult life growing up in Bosnia and having to leave her family behind. RHOBH fans were interested to learn about her life, but Diana soon became unrelatable with her comments about not shopping in stores and only having designers send her clothes. Diana was also initially uncomfortable talking about her book with the other women, and she later explained that she didn’t like bragging about her accomplishments. However, during RHOBH star Garcelle Beauvais’ birthday party, Diana gave her Room 23 as a gift and later shared in a confessional that the book was very hard to get as it’s a limited edition.

RHOBH fans are not finding Diana a great addition to the cast so far. With the many storylines surrounding Dorit Kemsley, Erika Jayne, and Lisa Rinna, Diana is not giving anything other than bragging about how wealthy she is. Many viewers think Diana is also needlessly starting drama with Sutton Stracke and Garcelle. If Diana joined RHOBH in order to save her reputation, she may need to act more humble and dial down her “villain” role.
