With 18 children, mortgages, and Coyote Pass, Sister Wives fans are starting to speculate on the Brown family’s finances after the end of the season.

Fans of Sister Wives have been questioning how the Brown family can afford their lifestyle since the end of the most recent season. Christine, Janelle, and Meri Brown have either divorced or separated from Kody Brown, in the last year. However, Kody is still with his fourth and favorite wife, Robyn Brown. In just one year, the Brown family has changed drastically.

Sister Wives has shown many major milestones for the Brown family. Weddings of both wives and children have been showcased throughout the series. Recently, there have been fewer of these events, although with Hunter Brown and his girlfriend Audrey Hubert growing more serious, there may be more for Sister Wives season 18. The Brown children and their parents are occupied with their jobs and lives but have come together in the past for family events, like Ysabel Brown’s graduation party or Logan Brown’s wedding. These events are important moments for families, but in one this large can get expensive over time.

Why Sister Wives Fans Are Thinking About Money

Reddit user Accurate-Garbage-502 was one of the Sister Wives’ fans to begin discussing the financial status of the Browns. It was pointed out that the Browns may have managed their money “poorly,” causing them to experience some difficulties. The decision to buy Coyote Pass was criticized by one person, who believes Kody considers himself an “expert” on a “process that could take years” to complete fully. Building on the land requires permits for all the “infrastructure” required, and the fights about Kody’s division of Coyote Pass have been a problem. Further poor money management would only lead to more issues within the family.

How Fans Think Money Influences The Browns’ Views of Education

The original poster from Reddit also suggested the family “prioritized” their money incorrectly, and while they should have spent money on the children’s education, they only looked at options priced “as cheaply as possible.” Another Reddit user agreed with this logic, claiming it is important for everyone to be “educated and skilled,” but there didn’t seem to be a lot of emphasis on providing any financial means for the children to do so. Although some of the Brown kids have gone to college, like Maddie and Mykelti Brown from Sister Wives, it was argued higher education wasn’t “in the realm of possibility” before starting the show, and, therefore, may not have been planned for.

With such a large family, being able to manage funds is both a critical and difficult skill to master. The adults in the Brown family seem to have struggled to balance their kids’ needs with the projects they want to complete. From the fan’s perspective, it seems in some ways these projects, like Coyote Pass were a bad investment, whereas others, like further education for their kids, would have been wiser. Despite this, several kids have done very well for themselves, such as Hunter from Sister Wives, who recently returned to Arizona. Although Sister Wives viewers know the adults of the family acted with the best intentions, there could still be some improvements.
