Images from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga showcase Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Hemsworth, and more. The upcoming apocalyptic action movie from director George Miller is a prequel to his Oscar-winning 2015 franchise movie Mad Max: Fury Road following the origins of the character originally played by Charlize Theron. The movie features the return of several other characters, including the villain Immortan Joe (now played by Lachy Hulme), his son Rictus Erectus (Nathan Jones), and the medic The Organic Mechanic (Angus Sampson).
Total Film has now unveiled a trio of first-look images from the upcoming Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga. In addition to showcasing the title character in a high-octane moment where she emerges from a truck that seems to be in motion while brandishing a gun, they offer a further look at the dangerous connection between her and Chris Hemsworth’s new villain Warlord Dementus. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga
A prequel to Mad Max: Fury Road, Furiosa is an action-adventure film that tells the origin story of the headstrong and fearless Furiosa. Set shortly after the beginning of the “end of the world,” Furiosa is kidnapped and brought before a powerful warlord, now forced to work for him. To find her way back home, Furiosa will adapt to the new harsh and arid world as she grows into the Furiosa she becomes known to be.
