Clorinde’s Kit May Be As Good As Neuvillette’s

Details about Clorinde’s gameplay kit in Genshin Impact 4.7 have been shared through new leaks, and the upcoming character may actually be as good as Neuvillette, one of the game’s best damage-dealers at the moment. Clorinde is an important NPC from the region of Fontaine, and has been introduced as a Champion Duelist from the Nation of Justice and a personal bodyguard to Furina. HoYoverse has not yet confirmed her arrival as a playable character, but several leaks point toward Clorinde’s release in Genshin Impact 4.7.

Now, even though she has not even been confirmed as a playable unit, there are leaks about her alleged gameplay kit. Information obtained by the leaker known as Foul, shared in a post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, details how Clorinde works on the field. According to the leaker, she uses a gun in battle, alternating shots from the firearm with stabs from her melee weapon – most likely a sword, as Clorinde has been seen using one in combat in multiple instances. Clorinde is rumored to be a DPS character in Genshin Impact.

System Is Compared To Neuvillette’s Gameplay Kit

According to Foul, Clorinde is capable of dodging and has some instances of invincibility frames while dealing high damage. One of the most noteworthy aspects of the leak, however, is the comparison to Neuvillette. Foul mentions that Clorinde has the same three levels of Electro reactions that Neuvillette has with his Hydro reactions once players unlock his Ascension level 1 Talent. If true, Clorinde could have some of the highest DPS scores in the game, capable of continuously increasing the damage she deals and, like Neuvillette in Genshin Impact, wiping out mobs without much effort.

For reference, Neuvillette’s Ascension 1 Passive Talent sees that, whenever a party member triggers an Elemental Reaction with Hydro, Neuvillette gains a stack of Past Draconic Glories, up to three stacks. These stacks make his Charged Attack deal 110%/125%/160% of its original damage, which alone already deals a significant amount of damage to opponents. If Clorinde truly has this type of scaling, activated by smaller stacks triggered from Electro-based reactions, it will be easy to keep her at the top of her game on the field. This also contributes to the rumors about her being a DPS in Genshin Impact.

In addition to the possibility of Clorinde having a damage-scaling mechanic that can boost her damage output, the leaks also mention she has a coordinated attack mechanic, essentially making her strike a second time. How often her rumored coordinated attack will happen is unknown. In another leak by Foul, shared in another post tagged as “Questionable” on Reddit, there are mentions that, with Constellation 6, this occurs when she stabs opponents. The leaks also mention that Clorinde has a Bond of Life mechanic, much like Arlecchino in Genshin Impact.

The details about Clorinde’s kit are still blurry and how everything, including the rumored damage increase stacks and the Bond of Life’s 20% CRIT boost, will be tied up. More information should start flowing in as Version 4.6 goes by and the tests with Version 4.7 are underway. As is the case with any leak, however, the information should be taken with an extra grain of salt, as it may be subject to change or outright incorrect. Recent Genshin Impact leaks, however, have been reliable, which gives some shred of hope for Clorinde’s release.
