A hazardous material incident in Gluckstadt led to evacuations and road closures on Friday.The incident happened about 11 a.m. at Vertex on Industrial Drive, according to Gluckstadt officials. Environmental teams checked the air quality and reopened most of the areas affected by about 3 p.m. No injuries were reported initially, but one first responder became ill from the fumes and was taken to a hospital.
