An unmarked Jackson police vehicle was stolen Tuesday morning from the city’s impound lot.Deputy Chief Deric Hearn said the 2010 Chevy Silverado was taken from the lot on Michael Avalon Street. The vehicle was there to be repaired and no weapons were inside, Hearn said.Police said the thief damaged the entry and exit gate during the theft. Surveillance cameras captured an image of a potential suspect, according to Jackson police officials. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 601-355-TIPS.
