The North Mississippi Allstars were close to the end of their 2001 Fall Tour when they stopped at the War Eagle Supper Club in Auburn, Alabama on October 10th. This show has the extra bonus of having Duwayne Burnside join the band on guitar and vocals. The tapes of this show have been in my archive for the last 20 plus years and are now finally seeing the light of day. The entire band is on fire from the moment they hit the stage. Besides Luther’s extraordinary slide playing, there are also plenty of drum and bass solos’s throughout the set. And Duwayne get’s the spotlight on four separate songs, half being Albert King covers. This tape contains the first 82 minutes of the show. Part two that covers the last 40 minutes will be coming soon. The set list and other details are below.
