Atlanta, Georgia, December 7, 2016 — Black Chef’s Network Presented The Road To Empower Business & Social Seminar for Professional Chefs interested in building their brand and/or business in the Culinary Industry. The event took place Dec 6, 2016 at the King Plow Art Center, Black Chef’s Network (BCN) offered each attendee chef headshots, business development tips, written bio, legal advice, certification guidance and much more.

Special Guests: Business goes beyond the kitchen and it is BCN’s founder, Courtney Munford’s goal to express the importance of Business Development and Activation. The seminar was hosted by Ronnika Ann, Sr. PR Director of iGN PR, and included presentations by: Sammie Haynes, Editor & Chief of Sheen Magazine; Lenise Williams, ESQ, Brand Attorney; Khalil Hasan, Owner of Red Carpet Express, and Whitney Lee, social media coordinator for BCN.

The evening also gave everyone a taste of different cultures by having many different types of food stations all catered by Chef Aubrey Sinfield and Bold American Catering. The dessert station was provided by Jaxon Pastries and after dinner, no food went to waste thanks to special guest Jasmine Crowne; founder of Black Celeb Giving and GoodR Food Rescue App with a goal to reduce food waste through partnerships with culinary professionals and restaurants.

BCN produced a night filled with business owners and vendors; including Lillie Mae PR. Attendees shared their experience using the hashtags #RoadToEmpower and #RoadToEmpowerAtl. The Snapchat filter was sponsored by Antonio Barnes and the event was planned and designed by SC Visionary Planning and Production Services.

Atlanta was the first of many stops where all chefs, entrepreneurs, and business owners collaborate. BCN’s Road To Empower next tour stop will be announced early 2017.
