Several fire units are on the scene of a house fire in Canton.When 16 WAPT arrived on the scene, they saw thick smoke in the air with four fire units on the scene. Char marks were seen all over the building as the fire burned through the structure.According to fire Lt. Delbrico Slaughter, they received a call to a neighborhood around 3:30 a.m. Friday. When officers arrived on the scene, crews said the majority of the home was engulfed in flames. Officers said the family was not home at the time of the fire and the home is a total loss.The cause of the fire is under investigation.
