vivo’s upcoming X100 Ultra will be “a professional camera that can make calls” according to a company exec, and it’s expected to make its debut next month alongside the X100s, thus completing the X100 flagship series that also contains the already official X100 and X100 Pro.

As we are getting closer to its launch, the X100 Ultra was purportedly certified in China by 3C, with the model number V2366GA, according to the prolific Weibo leaker known as Digital Chat Station.

There will apparently be two versions of the X100 Ultra – this one that just got certified, a ‘normal’ 5G-capable device, and another one which will also feature satellite connectivity, which, as a feature, seems to be all the rage these days in the Chinese market.

The X100 Ultra will have support for 80W wired charging, the aforementioned certification has revealed, which is less than both the X100 and the X100 Pro. Digital Chat Station also promises the Ultra will have the “big kind” of battery (we assume around 5,500 mAh).

This will be vivo’s all-out absolute camera flagship for 2024, with a Sony Lytia LYT-900 main camera sensor and a 100mm (4.3x) 200 MP periscope telephoto. No one would be surprised if it’s powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and pairs that with ample RAM and storage. Also, it’s likely to employ the recently unveiled BlueImage branding for camera tech. We’ll let you know when we find out more about it.
